Amanda Reyzin
Amanda Reyzin began studying ballet at the age of ten. At fourteen, she began living with her dance coaches so that she could begin training full time. At seventeen, she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) to dance with the International Ballet Theatre in their corps de ballet. A year later she began dancing as a soloist in the ballet company and toured the east coast.
In 2004, Amanda began studying Ballroom Dance and just a year later, she competed in her first Amateur Latin competition, quickly progressing to the championship level. In August of 2006, Amanda won the Amateur American Rhythm division in the USABDA National Championship and 8 months later, the "2007 NDCA National Championship" in Provo, UT.
Amanda Reyzin began competing professionally in June 2007 with her partner Ilya Reyzin. Together they competed in over 150 competitions, receiving top placements in the American Rhythm, American Smooth, and Showdance Divisions. The were 4 times U.S. Rhythm finalists and the
2009 United States 9 Dance Champions.
Amanda is sponsored by Dore Designs, Anabell’s DanceWear and Dancelife USA. She is the organizer of the American Star Ball Championships in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the Maryland Dancesport in Baltimore, Maryland.
Amanda is also a member of the North American DanceSport Teachers Association and she is also national certified adjudicator.
